The island does not have an airport and therefore the visitor should make stops at the airports of Naxos, Santorini or Mykonos islands which are connected daily with Athens International Airport El. Venizelos.
Arriving at Athens airport, you will need to go to the port of Piraeus on bus line X96 or the blue line of the Attiko Metro with direction to "Dimotiko Theatro", and get off at "Piraeus station". Available ships are located at gates E1, E7, E9, or E10 of the Piraeus port your departure gate is written on your ticket.
It is recommended to arrive at the port 1 hour before your departure, especially in August when there is increased passenger traffic.

Amorgos island has two ports: Katapola and Aegiali (the latter connects Amorgos with Astypalaia island). The ferry tickets to Amorgos start from €51.50 and the prices are determined according to possible discounts, the types of tickets ships, as well as the vehicles.
There is a ferry connection from Amorgos to and from the port of Piraeus daily from May to October 2023.
Specifically, the Blue Star Ferries ships routes are as follows:
TUE – THUR – SUN: Departure from PIRAEUS at 06.45 and arrival at 15.10 pm at the port of Katapola. Return at 19:00 with destination to Piraeus.
MON – WED – FRI – SAT : Αναχώρηση από ΠΕΙΡΑΙΑ στις 06:45 και άφιξη το μεσημέρι 14:30 στην Αιγιάλη. Επιστροφή στις 19:50 με προορισμό τον Πειραιά.
SAT: Departure from PIRAEUS at 23.55 and arrival in the morning at 05.40 at the port of Katapola. Return from Katapola every Saturday at 15:40 to Piraeus port.
MON – WED – FRI – SAT – SUN : Αναχώρηση από ΠΕΙΡΑΙΑ στις 09:00 και άφιξη το μεσημέρι 14:40 στα Κατάπολα. Επιστροφή στις 15:00 προς το λιμάνι του Πειραιά.
The Sea Jet 2 routes or/and SuperJet from 01/05/2023 to 16/10/2023 are:
Daily departure from PIRAEUS at 07:40 (or 09:00) and arrival at 14:50 (or 15:15) at Katapola.
There are no available itineraries for 2023 and you need to go to indirect trips/ports in the Cyclades.
The EXPRESS SKOPELITIS connects Amorgos with the Cyclades on a daily basis, starting from Amorgos (Katapola).
On Sundays also this ship departs from Katapola at 08:00 for Ios and Santorini and returns at 16:25 at Katapola.

Amorgos Bus Company has available air-conditioned buses that connects each Amorgos’ village. The bus connection in the summer months is quite frequent and buses connect villages of Aegiali with Agios Pavlos, Chora of Amorgos, Katapola and the villages of Kato Meria.
Please be informed about the bus timetable if you plan to use the bus service during your visit to any beaches of Amorgos, as well as the nightlife in the island.
The ticket price is valid for a single route only.
At nights itineraries, higher rates are applied.
